Would You Buy A Gold Porsche?

There has been a new gold plated Porsche Boxster created by Visualis, a company situated in Pforzheim, Germany. This golden creation was originally made for the opening of a new jewelry museum, but has now been continued. A further nine models of the gold plated Porsche Boxster are set for manufacture. The price is still unknown, but the question is, will anyone want to buy one?

Undoubtedly, as far as Porsche cars go, this one is exceptionally luxurious. The gold finishes do not stop at the body, but extend to the Porsche accessories too. The steering wheel and door knobs are also plated in 22-carat gold. Even the rims have the Midas touch! It cannot be argued that plating a Porsche in 22-carat gold took a lot of time and talent, not to mention meticulous effort. A gold Porsche would undoubtedly hold high value for an investor, but would the said investor actually drive this vehicle on the roads?

It could be seen as the ultimate status symbol, although some Porsche enthusiasts claim that the gilded Porsche removes the class from an originally beautiful Boxster. Although some may find it beautiful, others find it a bit too dazzling. This golden Porsche has the potential to be even more expensive than its original price. Imagine how much a few scratches or dents would cost to repair? This is if the car actually has the risk of being involved in a fender bender in the first place. It’s not a very easy car to miss on the road, especially on a sunny day!

Whether the new Gold Porsche Boxster is for you or not, only personal preference will tell. It may do well as an investment car that is stored away and kept to increase in value, depending on the performance of the gold price of course.
