Hotels in Andermatt – Swiss Alps
Whenever you go on a organise it yourself holiday (as opposed to a package holiday where someone organises it all for you) there’s always the problem of selecting your hotel, and usually wherever you’re going there is an abundance of hotels of all ratings to choose from.
Having recently gone through the process of selecting hotels in Andermatt, for our recent family winter ski holiday I thought I would go through the selection process we used in choosing the hotel and all the things we took into consideration.
By the way if you’re looking to go to Andermatt, now as an authority of all the hotels in Andermatt I can tell you it has a good selection of hotels with a range of facilities to suit all your needs and budgets. Of course the first thing in selecting your hotel is your location, where exactly do you want to be – by the action or away from it all?
On ski holidays we always want to stay nearest the lifts as possible so make sure you check your hotel location carefully. Then there is the budget – set your budget and stick to it (easier said than done). These two key factors will easily take out a lot of your hotel options. You also need to know which dates you’re going and which hotels have availability while you’re there.
I found that using search engines or hotel booking systems that search all the hotels in the area you’re staying is a lot more effective than looking at each hotel individually. But don’t book on the first site you see that has a hotel you like the look of. Once you’ve found the hotel you want to stay in, search again to make sure that you get the best price deal on it. Happy holidays!!
