I would get my diet correct and take protein shakes.
To increase mass 5 things must occur.
More calories, protein/ carb balance, heavy lifting, sleep and proper water intake.

    Nothing beats healthy eating.

Concentrate on overall fitness and maintaining a healthy heart.
For best results, eat six times a day. Try balancing your meals 60% protein 40% carbs.

Eat a combination of lean protein and healthy carbohydrates every few hours throughout the day to speed up fat loss and maintain stable energy levels.
Eat your proteins from lean sources (Chicken, fish, boiled eggs, lean beef with all the fat drained off) and beans (lentil, lima, chili or any type of bean)

For your carbs, Choose leafy vegetables, carrots, raisins, broccoli and fresh fruits. Weight train intensely, three times per week on alternating days with aerobic exercise three times per week.

Drink 10 to 20 glasses water per day NO SODA
    Good Luck !!!

Try to dink protein shakes between your 6 meals any brand. You need to take in 500 to 1000 calories more than you burn

    Heavy weight low reps
    Day 1) chest and back
    Day 2) arms and shoulders
    Day 3) legs, calves
    Day off then repeat
    Abs, calves and forearms everyday

Start by eating more. If you dont, you will lose weight because you burn so many calories when you work out. When you work out do sets of 8 - 6 - 4 - 2for each activity making sure that you are tired at the end of each set. Do 3 or more different activities for either upper body or lower body, such as curls, bench, and military press a day. Rotate between upper body and lower body every day so that your muscles have time to heal before you use them again. Try to eat about 60 grams of extra protein every day. Keep in mind that you can only digest 30 grams at once and you will *** the rest out. You will build muscle over the course of a couple months and you will get a lot stronger as well. Other people will tell you to eat more protein but for your body size and the amount of activity you are doing, you wont need more unless you had a really hard workout that day and you are really sore. Thats about all there is to it unless you want to take other suppliments besided whey protein. You can get whey protein almost anywhere, even Wal-Mart. Its about $15 there for a 2 pound tub.

    Eat Healthy knows his stuff…

    Here is the trick….

1)More weight with less reps = more muscle mass and strength.

2)Less weight with more reps = more endurance and will get you ripped.

So most body builders will do number 1 in the winter to bulk up, then near the end of winter they will do number 2 to cut(get ripped) for summer.

Now everyone has a different genetic makeup so I don’t know if you can gain huge amounts of muscle mass like Mr Universe but you can try and see how much your body will allow you to achieve.

The reason you getting thinner is because you muscles need more fuel and are taking it from the fat reserves in your body. But if your not eating right then you are also losing muscle mass due to the muscles feeding on themselves.

As for protein, I think it is always best to get your protein from protein rich foods and only use protein supplements when you need more in your diet(Don’t get carried away, protein has calories in it that can be saved as fat if they are not used for building or repairing).

    Hi,

I’ve tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don’t work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it (it’s 100% natural). The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That’s why I recommend you check this product at where they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.
    Good luck!
