TRAINERs please? Fasting and exercises. To avoid the “starvation state” and “muscle loss”?
tiggeress asked:
Well, for health reason I faithfully believe in fasting to regenerate ill tissue and detoxify the body. I had terminal cancer and modern-western medicine/doctors told me I only had two months to live. BUT, an elder naturopath taught me about fasting and it’s healing powers. This was 8 years ago. I was cancer free within months. I still fast about 7 days maybe twice a year. I’ve also helped other people with terminal illnesses get better with similar treatments. PROBLEM: I gain weight!! Also, my muscles and body is NOT firm after a fast. I understand why. It’s because the “starvation mode” that I placed my body will convert all food into fat afterwords. Then since I’m not consuming protein.. I loose muscles.

QUESTION??? I’m not a body trainer or nutritionist so I would like expert advice. If I plan to fast for 7 - 10 days due to health reasons. What if I load myself with multivitamins pills and supplemental shakes with loads of protein, whey protein, etc…. AND I do mild exercises like YOGA or PILATES. … Will this counteract the “starvation state”? Can we trick the body by giving it all the nutrients by means of supplements instead of FOOD? AND in order to get lean and tighter, DURING the fast, can I do mild muscle building exercise to avoid the “flabby” effect after a fast? Can these mild muscle building help keep the metabolism up?

eat 6 small meals a day consisting of mainly raw veggies and some lean proteins…dont fast to lose weight..you can do any amount of pilates and yoga daily but go for 30 mins of walking as well…supplements are a waste of cash!
