I have a lot of weight to lose and want to pack on some muscle so I have some form to my body before I lose the weight.
I want to body build BEFORE I lose the weight.

building muscle will help you lose the weight. Start pumping iron now. Just don’t injure yourself when you start, build up slowly.

No, bodybuilding and building muscle will help you burn the fat quicker.

Its better to lose the fat first before building muscles so you won’t get to heavy. Start jogging everyday until you lose the body fat. Then do abdominal exercises to get packs.
OR you can body build and lose fat at the same time.

Of course not! In fact, building all that muscle will help burn off the fat. Don’t be a hero though, start slow so you don’t hurt yourself. Don’t focus too much on the number on your weights, instead focus on form. Some people who are new to weights (and even some who are not so new) try to lift too much and it leads to bad form, which doesn’t really do much to help build your muscles and increases the chances for injury.
