If I’m working out in a gym can I still exercise at home?or does the extra exercising damage the muscle?

I’m a 16 year old male and I’m working out 3 days a week.I used to do 100 pushups and 20 pullups a day at least.but now some people are telling me that I should stop since I’m working out at a gym and body building.does anyone have any experience and can help me out??I’m really having a hard time stopping exercising at home and should I really do that??all the muscle that I have now was build up at home(from daily exercise)and now since I’ll be at the gym only 3 days a week I feel that if I stop exercising at home I’ll actually be doing something bad and decreasing my muscle mass since I’ll be doing less exercise.plz help.and any work out techniques r appreciated(I’m slim, tall and muscular but not way too much)if that helps pick out which exercise u’ll reccommend for me.thnx a lot in advance I hope u know how much u’ll help will mean to me :))

If you feel like you need to do more, go for it. However, I would suggest running for 30 minutes of just doing pushups and pullsups.

The main thing is to not work the same muscles on back to back days. Let them rest at least 48 hrs. Remember to pay attention to what muscles you are using in each individual workout as to not overwork them. And it is true that overworked muscles do not grow because they need time to heal. What makes muscles bigger is tiny tears in them. If they can’t heal then you are working againt yourself. good luck

As far as this goes, less is definitely more. By training so much you are going backwards.
Stick with the gym and drop the home workout.
