How do I start this body transformation from skinny to muscular?

Philip asked:

I’m a 20-year old Filipino dude and my BMI is around 17. This means that I’m underweight and, of course, all skinny. I tried to “eat” my way out of this problem but it simply wouldn’t work. I think I’ve read it somewhere that this is because my metabolism is kinda “fast.”

I’m really annoyed at how my body is built. But that’s not just my problem. Apparently I have inherited a lot of my dad’s features enough to scare me that I might one day be just like him: bloated. But I don’t want to be like him. I’m actually sick of us being compared, especially when he was my age.

Luckily, nurture takes a more prominent role as we get older — so I was told. What I want is to gain weight but not in the way my dad did it. In addition, I also want to be strikingly different from my dad. Thus, the only choice I have is to gain weight by building muscles. The question is, HOW THE HECK DO I DO THAT?

I’ve been thinking of going to a gym but I have a couple of question in mind. How do I work out? What sort of exercises are fit for my body type? For how long should I train per day? Per week? Should I follow a strict/special diet? Supplements? If so, then what? Should I consult a nutritionist-dietitian then? Should I get some expert to train me? Obviously I am not going to survive this training all by myself, but how can I be sure if the trainer can really help me reach my target? Apart from him/her having a perfectly sculpted body and a gym to work at, are there other qualifications? I KNOW THESE QUESTIONS SOUND (OR ARE) STUPID, BUT I WOULDN’T LEARN A THING UNLESS I GIVE THEM A SHOT.

I’d really appreciate some help here. If you can refer me to some expert trainer or what ever they’re called, that would be better.

Thanks

    Hey
It’s great to see that your taking initiative in your life. Now, let’s get started.

For the goals you are looking to gain a personal trainer would be best fit.

You can email me at so that i can send you to my Online Personal Training Account and we can get started, or check out my site at

The site is new and being worked on daily.

I would need some more information from you before we start.
    Height?
    Weight?
What equipment do you have available to you?

But, now for some tips. You would need to start with a frame building program. You are already underweight so you would have to start with a bulking program. This includes extra everything. You need to increase the amount of Carbs, Proteins and Fats that you eat a day. The fats need to be good fats so no fast food.

The quicker you contact me the faster we can start. Within in a few days i will give you a proper diet plan and workout schedule you can follow. We will also be in constant communication with each other.

    Email me at

Well basically to start off with you should go to the gym.
They will show you what excercises to do and how to do them, if you want a trainer most gyms will help out with that by either letting you know where to find a trainer or by drawing up a training scheduel for you.
At first when you start going dont over train as you will do yourself an injury. You dont really need supplements, just eat healtily but if you really want to use them then you could look up muscle maker 3, I foung this a while back while I was looking up ways to pack on muscle fast, I have never tried it as my parents would not let me but if you want to you can, and now I believe a lot of suplements dont work but with this it has a money back garuntee so you should be safe enough even if it doesnt work for you.
    But good luck
I hope you get what your looking for

i had the same problem when i was your age. Eating is the key even to build muscle. when working out use correct form to start. Correct form ensure a proper shape and build. Try several muscle magazine for ideas. If you are going to try protein shakes research different brands. Small meals through out the day works wonders. Complex carbohydrates like oat meal are great. High protein food helps to build muscle. lift heavy but not too heavy to create improper form. it took a long time for me to gain over 40lbs in muscle but dedication and time is what you would most importantly need.

hey philips relax bro ,no need to be so confused, its not a rocket science simply u should search for a good gym around u.U should search for a gym with a proper coach who can guide u well.
Only he could be able guide u right bcoz its very difficult to right each & every detail here.
this thing need patience & hardwork ..
only after exercising after 2 or 3 months with proper & healthy diet(remember diet is very important,Dont worry about ur hunger as far as u train hard u’ll automatically feel hungry)u’ll be able to see changes in ur body(im telling u its only u who feels changes other may hardly notice)
i m tellin u when u see these changes u will forgot about ur hardwork & pain.

    REMEMBER-
    It needs patience
    -keep in mind ur goal
-AND PLEASE keep ur self away from steroids
-u can use supplements but they should be of good company(like vedor or universal etc),u should start taking them after about 2 months of regular exercise
-and dont think that u will achieve ur goals only with supplements.only and most important things u need is patience ,hard work & good guidence

and as far as u spend time in this thing u’ll automatically start learning & then it will not seem so difficult or confused.

i think this will definately work for u

best of luck & take care bye :)
