How do I go about losing weight while toning my body?

I’m 16 years old, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and my weight is at about 190 lbs.

How many calories should I consume?
How long should I exercise?
What exercises whould I do?

I want to loose weight while building some muscle…
well, burning fat

    lift weights
    the more muscle u have the more calories ull burn
    eat as much protein as ud like (meat, fish, nuts)
    eat complex carbs (whole wheat)
    stay away from simple sugars (white bread, pastries)
    eat fiber.. lots and lots of fiber
    keeps u fuller for longer and helps u lose weight

    mmkay.
    loosing weight and building muscle…
    what i found that works is that you lower the amount of weight you lift and do more repititions.
    so you loose weight and gain muscle!

    Just keep eating what you are eating, as for me, i play soccer so running is the best exercise to lose weight and tone your body at the same time, however, if you want to see the cuts on your muscles then you should work out, too. Run for about one hour (and if you can work out too) or run one day and exercise the other and here is a good site for gym exercises

    I am 5 feet and 6 inches tall and i weight 125 pounds (very small percent of fat)

    I would recommend (if you have one in your area) going to Bally’s and getting a personal trainer. Even your 1st visit – you can have a free one on one appt with one to go over diet and excercise regimen for you! If your parents are members, I believe they can get you in at Bally’s or another reputable health club. Also – check out books at a nice privately owned health food/organic store. Lots of knowledgeable staff and sometimes a dietian on staff.
    Look up foodtv.com (food network) and look up healthy or vegetarian (but still high protein) recipes. Going vegetarian or at least eliminating red meats (beef and pork esp) will help you lose weight fast and you will feel fantastic – tons of energy! Even walking for 20 mins a day or running 20 mins a day does phenominal things! I am 36 and I totally overhauled my body – I am healthier now than I have ever been. It would be so much EASIER being 16 and doing this!!!

    I use a really good weight training and healthy diet program called truth about abs.

    I bought the program from the recommendation at for $39

    This was the best $39 I have ever spent. He gives you detailed workouts for you to follow, and a great diet plan. Overall this was a great investment in myself.

    Sounds like this could be just what you need
