Protein powders are just a concentrated form of Whey (which makes up a large percentage of milk). Whey protein powders are actually made from the waste product of cheese production (called…whey). Protein powders are no different in the body than chicken or other forms of protein…the only difference is they are more concentrated and are digested much quicker. The only bad thing that can come from protein is the fact that protein metabolism creates uric acid as a bi product. To much uric acid can lead to gout. Even still…this is something that can occur with any type of protein…not just whey. And it does not happen easily.

Just remember ,all protein is not created equal, and it is better for your liver because it is easier to be absorbed by the body
